Sometimes a Great Notion

That’s the name of a fantastic book, by Ken Kesey, author of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. And, as Kesey so aptly described, sometimes what seemed like a perfectly sound idea turns out to have horns. And a tail. And be in the wrong place.

So, this is my website building and blogging experience… a bit rash, a bit cantankerous, and cautiously courageous. Don’t be giving me the eyeball, I’m coming along as fast as I can.

Hello world!

Imagine that. I’m creating my first blog post. It’s a bit of a bumpy ride. Visualize an old farm truck, bumping over the ridges in a fallow field. A bit jarring, but still thrilling, as your joints jostle loosely, and the hot summer breeze blows the dust and exhaust back in through the open window. Sun beats down on your bony elbow cocked casually out toward the fence line, and nothing could be finer than driving, by yourself, for the first time.
